Calling Stangzilla or anyone else with Eibach drag launch

How are those springs on the street? Im thinking of buying them now but I want to ask a couple of questions. Also, I know im going to get some drag launch shocks too if I get those springs but it might not be for a month or two, is it ok to run those springs with stock type shocks for a little bit? And did they change your ride height any? Thanks in advance

I'd run the stock springs with drag shocks. I'm not a fan of drag springs. I have used a couple sets in a couple different cars and was not impressed at the handling of these springs. Besides that I've had several chassis companies tell me not to run drag springs, especially in the rear.

What are some good shocks then? I was looking at the Lakewood drag launch shocks, whats the difference between 90/10 and 50/50? It says they can be used in conjunction with lowering springs. How much would my ET suffer if I went with drag shocks and lowering springs as opposed to drar shocks and stock springs. I only have an 1/8 mile track near me so im assuming the difference would be more pronounced than in the 1/4 mile. I know everybody told me not to get lowering springs but if the loss is minimal then im willing to sacrifice.

I use them, with the air bag, drive them on the street, a smidge more bounce over bumps, but hey its worth it for the 1.5-6 short times

Strange makes about the best shocks out there. I think QA1 has some decent adjustable shocks too. I'd be more concerned about the front struts. 90/10 struts will allow the front end to rise quickly. Your ET will not suffer with lowering springs. On a stock suspension Mustang they will work better than drag springs because they apply more pressure to the tires because the springs are stiffer. If you want to do it the right way, use springs with the same spring rate from side to side like stock springs or lowering springs. Then use an anti roll device in the rear.

What do you mean by same spring rate from side to side? Does that mean that drag springs have uneven spring rates to compensate for body roll during launch? And an anti-roll device would be a sway bar right? Are there other types of anti-roll devices?

Basically, from what I have gathered I should be ok with lowering springs, Adjustable shocks/struts, and a sway bar right? If im missing anything let me know. And thanks for the help so far Darrell.

Yes drag springs have different rates from side to side and sometimes different heights as well. An anti roll device is like a sway bar.
