Traded IN (maybe not UP)

well gentlemen and ladies, I decided to let go of the FOX. She started to give me problems (check engine light kept coming on, and it would misfire horribly at high RPM in gear), so I had to get something else. I traded in the 1991 GT and got a 2009 GT!

I am happy so far, but i surely do miss the grunt of the old 5.0. I have yet to hear any exhaust that would make my '09 sound how i want it to. Here are a few pics of my new lady.

I agree about the sad day, I do miss the fox for sure. The dealership gave me $2500 for it, which is what i paid for her, so i couldn't pass it up.

It was wholesaled right away, and I have seen it around town a few times. The guy that bought it drives her like a total D-BAG, droppin the clutch and peeling out from stop light to stop light, revs several times at every stop. My poor baby!

ryanw, it is the last year of that style light. And gratz on the new car, those S197s are great for drag racing too! Only thing is that they are pigs (heavy). If you put the right rotating assembly in there, you can push up to 1,000HP on the stock block casting.

I like the justification people use to resolve internal conflict... You don't want to pay someone a few hundred dollars to get the car fixed but don't mind paying someone a few hundred dollars every month for years for this car. It wasn't about the problems or the money, you just wanted a nice newer car and got it!

That's true, but what if you don't have an extra car to drive while your car is getting worked on. the 09 should be more reliable. Everyday people post on here asking for help because there fox doesn't start, lol. With that said, I'm never getting rid of my fox.

To the op, nice car. I've heard those with nice exhaust before, but not like the foxs.lol

NEGATIVE....took the fox to several different shops, including the local dealership, and no one was able to find the running issue. I replaced the ENTIRE ignition system from switch to plugs, spent several hundred dollars just doing that. Only fix I could think of was to pull the engine and rebuild. I did not have the $4000.00 it would have cost to do that, nor the room to do it myself cheaply, nor did i have a vehicle to drive had i been able to do the work. I DID however have great credit, and the ability to make monthly payments. JUSTIFICATION DEFINED!

....and dont get me wrong, i miss the HELL out of my 91. I WILL have another one when my finances get better!!
