This 5.0 section

Is the only section of a forum who has knowledgeable people? I asked about cams elewhere to see if "racers" have anything different. This is what I got. SMALLBLOCKPOSSE....The Innovators,Not The Imitators!!: Camshaft choice Some people just can't read. Would an OTS cam really make the power I'm looking for in a built 347 stock block? Lookin to run mid to low 10's. They keep saying OTS, OTS! I don't know...

There are many off the shelf cams that will work. Will they make optimum power, no. Will the engine run and make power, yes. A custom cam is ground for your entire combination, bumper to bumper. An off the shelf cam is generic and made to fit a broad range of combinations.

I have used Comp Cams (with assistance from Brian Tooley of Total Engine Airflow) and Cam Motion. They both did me good. My track record speaks for itself.

Post it in the N/A engine, or camshaft section on yellowbullet. There are more knowledge on there than anywhere, and you will probably get a few straight answers.

Its not a completely stupid question, in 07 when I joined some of the best tech info posted here was posted by a 15 y/o that had a 347 or 408 stroker build going on with some serious mods. His name was Jordan, and now I think he has changed to Iwannagofast, or something and still lurks around from time to time but says he is mostly at sbftech. That kid was wicked at suggesting good combos and good tech.
