horrible bottom end shake

Ive got a 94 gt with a new 302 installed in it by ford. Has about 24k miles on it. Its eaten a quart of oil every 500 to 800 miles since installed. I took it out of the garage for the first time this year, got 3 miles down the road and it blew up on me. The harmonic balancer shook so much it flexed my hood up and down and ate my water pump. Im assuming its the crank because its leaking oil but I wanted to see what other people might think. Its under warranty but the dealership is terrible and i usually have to tell them how to fix it.

You sure the harmonic balancer runner holding it together just didnt crap out and beat the shit out of the crankshaft? I know I had a bad one on my last car and I saved it in time but it did mess up the timing cover alittle

It's a 347 and they didn't tell you obviously.

I think the runner is ok. I do have a ford racing lightweight flywheel.

haha. sounds like a blown motor. if you had them do it why wouldnt you have taken it back to the dealer when it went through the 1st quart of oil?

Ive taken it back all the time. They tested it and documented it.. apparently that amount of consumption is acceptable. I almost jumped the counter on the service manager

That is called "Warranty". Take it to a different dealership if you don't like that one.
