Just curious cause i have been running a roller cam and stock 302 roller lifters in a non roller block for like 10000 miles and never had an inkling of problems all you need to do is drill and tap the block for the spyder bar
and run a small base circle cam

Exactly.. Linkbar lifters are a better design to begin with plus you can run any roller cam you would in a roller engine. Not only is the cam core stronger so it will resist flex more, but the lifters don't rely on a thin piece of metal and dogbones to keep them in place, so you can turn more rpm without valvetrain instability.

Is the 76mm avaliable as a upgrade turbo for that kit for additional cost? From scrolling through your posts through out the forum you seem to know your sh*t and you are a turbo guy. Could you pm me you set up and your suggestions if thats cool?

Hell that sounds good to me!

Because roller blocks have taller lifter bores to accomodate the tall factory lifter. If you use factory roller lifters in a non roller block then you need to run a small base circle cam which is much weaker and also limits your cam choices.

Factory hydraulic roller lifters are too tall for early blocks and with a standard base circle cam the lifters will be pushed too far out of the lifter bores in a non roller block which will affect oiling to the lifter. The lifter bores in the roller blocks are taller to work with the taller lifters. A standard base circle cam and link bar lifters is the best option.

Thanks, We will be starting this build probably next week. I am not sure if we will be ordering the turbo kit first and the cam conversion or just ordering the heads, cam and intake and going from there.

I know that I have been talking to numerous people including the owner of 0n 3 performace and they are a lot of people running stock bottom end with this kit on 6-8 psi. And having no issues. I could for see us running the heads, cam, intake, carb, and turbo kit this season and when the drag season ends tearing the motor down forging it and probably stroking it.
Let me know how your build goes.

Here is a link to a thread where numerous motor builds are using this turbo kit including stock bottom end cars.
