Shorty header install in 88'?
How hard is it? there is a guy on CL looking for someone to do it. I did shorties on my 97 and it was pretty frustrating and took the better part of a day and a half. As I recall my old 87 wasn't that cluttered up in the engine compartment so is it easier? I don't know what brand he has but I could definately use the extra cash he is offering. I may be able to use my neigbors lift if it's open but i might have to do it in the riveway. He's offering $125 so I could tell him $150 and probably get it. Most shops are quoting him $400. I just don't want to do it if it is going to be as bad as the modular motor was.
Reps for good info. ![]() I'll check back tomorrow, my son needs to type out a paper for school now.

It's a lot easier than a 4.6. You just remove the intake(not the manifold) and it will be 2 nuts on each side connecting the headers to midpipe. And 8 bolts on each header holding it to the head. I unplugged the plug wires so I wouldn't mess them up.

Problems arise when bolts are old and have expanded or rusted into place. most shops charge that much because if they break a bolt they have to get it out. Exhaust bolts suck ass especially when you have to spray and wait.
