The wheels would look awesome on the silver one. Put the silver ones rims on the red one. If you want to change the appearance, do it. But don't part it out. That just seems like a waste of a good Fox.

Something else you might think about - make a copy of your bill of sale showing when you purchased it and put it in the glove box with your registration. If you get pulled over again, hand them that with the registration and politely tell the officer as you're handing it to him that you've purchased this car well over a year ago. Let him figure it out from there. If they continue to harrass you, make sure you have badge numbers/names, dates and times to back up your report when you go in. But I wouldn't go in until you have this info. If you go in next week - it will just look like you're picking a fight and the police will be on the look out for you anyway. Wait for something to happen before you go in and complain.

But I think you have the makings of a good car there - just do a few minor changes. I don't think the interior is bad either - good and clean, goes with the color scheme. And hell it gave you $10 to keep it!

I bought this car about 6 months before my silver fox. I wasn't a big fan of the auto so i then looked for a shell, I got my silver shell for around $1,000 so i lucked out. I was thinking about selling the red 91 but now i kinda like it. Just waiting for a really warm day so i can rip it appart and see whats in it.

I would have asked the cop how much he was offering for the car if he was interested. Find a friend that is a lawyer and drive around town and get pulled over. The whole lawyer vs cop thing is funny. The lawyer always wins in the end.

Thats Horseshit. I had the same thing happed to me several years ago. Tehre was a guy that street raced a red notch alot, I had a red notch also, I got pulled over 14 times in less than two months, but never got a ticket. I was getting harrassed bad. I went to the chief of police and i had it documented each time I got pulled over, (which were bs excuses) I told him he has the wrong owner and wrong car, and if they found me doing anything wrong, throw the book at me, but in the mean time if I get pulled over 1 more time I will sue them. It stopped totally

I laugh at statement like this. While cops can not pull you over for no reason, how many people ALWAYS follow the law? How many people go the speed limit? I know I'm usually roughly 5 over. How many people slightly roll through a stop sign? How many people try to beat the yellow light before it goes red?

What you have to do is weigh the pro's vs con's. Obviously you don't HAVE to change the car. You have a clean title and the car is yours. Everything is legal on your end. But at the same time, the police are going to be looking for a reason to pull you over. They might see you going 5 over and give you a ticket just because of the car. Ultimately, they are more likely to pull you over just because of the car (while ignoring other cars that do the same thing). Until they realize the car has been sold, you'll have to be extra careful.
