What to do with a "hot car"

Ok i bought a supercharged 306 mustang about 1 year ago i took it oout for a spin today and police pulled me over and said they were looking for this car for a long time. The previous owner must have street raced alot and ran from cops also. I told them that i bought the car about a year now and started to clean it up now. They told me it was in my best intrest to sell it because i would get picked on alot. Should i scrap it and keep the motor or paint it over?

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

Notes""" Im not a fan of the interior. Or the Big Pun sticker, as i bought the car this is how the car is. Even the cheese seats i didnt touch.
Car has a dss block built to a 306, idk heads, idk cam, idk rockers, upgraded auto with b&m shift kit, 255 fuel pump vortech s trim and a idk tune.

You can either sell it to someone far away or use it as parts! Do you have a good clean title?? These cars are getting hard to find good used parts for. Id keep it and build another. Find a good roller and start you a project. Just my .02 worth.

Paint it, change the wheels, change the seats and rip the sticker off. Might as well get a normal cowl hood while you're at it too.

just change the rims and replace the ugly GT body kit with a normal one. Where is the big pun sticker?

the body looks pretty clean. first, i would maybe give it a fresh paint job and new rims to remove the "hot car" appeal it has, then remove all the stickers and such. the seats/interior should wait until you have something to replace it all with. besides, the cops will see the outside of the car 90% of the time.

just my 2 cents.

but on a side note, everything minus the chassis seems worthy of keeping. so if you were to pick up a roller, id just swap everything over, and then part out whats left. im sure people will buy the interior stuff, and some body panels here and there.

I wouldn't spend any money, in order not to be harrased by the police. Why spend thousands, or hundreds when the word will eventually get out that the douche that owned the car before you is not the owner now. But if you want to upgrade and change some things like paint, wheels , groundeffects that is a good reason to spend the$$$

Don't do it because the police are harassing you, there are ways to deal with that legally.

If you like the car the way it is then keep it that way, No way would I sell or part out a car just because the cops use to chase it. As long as your not breaking any laws let them keep pulling you over, then report the officers that do it. There is laws against cops pulling you over all the time for no reason.

body looks clean, it sucks that this is happening to u,
(this is what id do)
Scrape off big bitch sticker, deff meant big pun sticker
take that MSD sticker off dash
Sell wheels/headlights/hood/seats

Then...make one of ur foxes a dedicated Race car (with or without plates) and make one a fun street car/or DD

OR part out one of them put all the parts u want in one fox and SELL everything else and make a good chunk of money

If they have no active reports about the car, they can't do shit. Keep record of when and if they pull you over ,and if it happens a lot, you can file a complaint against the police department, harassment plain and simple, and im sure they will tell there officers to back off.

It's probably just the one cop that pulled you over that even remember's the car to begin with.

I got pulled over on my sport bike once, didn't even own a car back then. cop telling me black bike, with a rider with a black helmet/gear, so It had to be me that ran from them a few months before.

Which that in itself pissed me of. ZOMG A BLACK BIKE, AND A GUY WEARING BLACK GEAR! fucking stupid asshole.

I told him that he had no grounds to waste my time, as I was not breaking any law. Also that I was now going to be late to work, and he apologizes and let me go.
