What's your opinion on chevy motors in Mustangs or fords period?

What do you think of having a chevy motor in a ford, or in a Mustang?

I think it's crap!
If it's a ford it should have a ford motor and if it's a chevy it should have a chevy motor an son on a so forth.

I have seen it in many threads.

But eitherway I would love to have an LSX in my Mustang. But that isn't going to happen right now unless I take it out of my TA. lol

Not me I think some chevys are cool and all but I would never put a motor in my car unless it was a ford.

Because it's no longer a mustang to me.

The engine is the heart of a car. Imagine if someone ripped out your heart for no apparent reason and replaced it with one thats not as good as your original heart. Thats just like putting a chevy motor in any ford.

i think a ford should get a ford engine. im not a fan of cross breeding and it wouldnt even be a anymore mustang with a GM or dodge engine.

Im against Gms in anything. But ive always wanted to take a Chevy of high value and put a Ford motor in it and take it to a Chevy show or car show period. Sticker on the front windshield saying "Like a rock with a Ford block" Would love to see the Gm guys faces and comments!!!

There are a crap load of people that know the GM engines and transmissions inside and out and could build them blind folded with one hand tied behind their back and the parts are cheap and available everywhere. Get what you are familiar with regardless of the brand. Who cares what other people think.

If someone is more comfortable with a chevy motor, then put a chevy motor in your mustang. It's personal preference, but most people buy the stang for drag racing since it's one of the best platforms out there for 1/4 mile racing.

Do it.... It's been done for years and it will continue as long as Chevy stuff continues to be a dime a dozen.

.... As long as you never sell the car, there is always going to be time to do it.
Disclaimer: Faststang does not condone putting a Chevy motor in a Mustang!
