No spark???

I have a 94 GT with the 5.0, I have replaced the TFI module, coil and distributor as well as the battery and I still have nothing. I had an MSD doul spark ignition box in the car and it will fire with that in, but I have to retard the timing a whole bunch to do it. when I finally get the car to start on the retarded timing and advance it back to a smoothe idle I can not get it to start again once shut off unless I retard it again. This is only when I have the MSD box in the system. When the box is off I cant get any spark. what am I missing? It's not throwing any codes either.

the msd box controls your spark, so if its wired into your ignition, if you turn it off, your not going to have spark.

as for your timing issue. double check your timing again, its possible to see your desired timing mark in the timing light, and have your distributor WAAAAAY off, get it running, and turn your dizzy in either way and see if your timing light shows you your timing in a diffrent position (diffrent dizzy position) and see if the timing light hits the mark more consistant. turn it off and see how well it starts.

last time i timed a engine, it had the same problem starting, i found there was 2 dizzy locations where if the engine was running, you could see the timing mark. but in one spot it would idle fine but wouldnt start, where as in the other postion it would idle just as well and start right up.

so im not saying thats your problem/ whats wrong with your car, but its definitally sumthing to look at.
