Horsepower for a '95 mustang gt


last fall i bought a 1995 mustang gt, with 53k miles on it, it has a k&n fipk, and some sort of an exhaust, and the rest is stock, can anyone tell me the approximate horsepower that my car is putting out?!

To the flywheel prolly 220 hp. To the ground prolly about 190.....it's not the horsepower that makes Stangs so great, it's the torque output. :wink

actually they're not....From the factory the GT was rated at 215 hp... WHich sounds about right since i often see stock dynos around 180-185 hp for em.. The cobra is underrated although. They make about 220-225 at the wheels. That translates into about 260 at the flywheel as opposed to the factory rating of 240.

230 is high for a gt with a minor bolt-ons like that.

the reason the 94 and 95's were up horsepower to the foxes is because the butterfly intake manifold design they went with allowing the runners to open at higher rpms for straight forward air.
