Upper & lower control arms

Do they eliminate all four shocks in the rear?

No, you can eliminate the quads with a good set of control arms but still need the main shocks

Is it true just getting lower control arms are good enough? For drag racing?

I hear that having both can cause binding if you don't have the spherical bushings.

Why not do both while you are in there? I haven't had any issues with rubber bushings on my CA's...yet
