Takern directly from Fox Lake FAQ:

What are the major differences between the Trick Flow Street Heat, Track Heat, and "R" intake manifolds?

While the Street Heat and Track Heat intake manifolds use the same exact lower, the upper on the Track Heat has runners that are 3" shorter inside the manifold. While they look identical from the outside, the Track Heat is more suited for forced induction or higher RPM applications and the Street Heat is more suited for idle-5500 RPM applications. The "R" intake is definately more of an intake for high RPM or large cubic inch motors. The "R" intake is not designed for a 302 cubic inch motor unless it is used with 15+psi boost.

hrm, maybe you don't know by build well enough. haha.

the intake will do just find. I just had my mind racing about this new build....

I'm more then likely picking up a "kit" on Saturday that will make the motor split with epicness at the very use of it.

it will make the motor go from 330rwhp to about 550rwhp at the press of a few buttons.

*nudge nudge*

I've seen this supposition that when running lots of boost, you need a larger intake. Well, like any other aspect of racing, there are no hard and fast rules - I know of a YSi blown 331 running 8.70s using a ported RPM1 that tried a TFS-R Box with a Kurgan tune after guys told him he'd go faster and he finally reached the power or ET of the smaller intake after the tune on the Box by Bob Kurgan, so put the RPM1 back on and went quicker/faster than ever. I tried posting the screen capture of the story but I can't get an upload anywhere on this site, an attachment to the post, in the gallery, etc - I must be banned from it. No loss of mine...........

cool!

yea, boost change's everything. I remember reading a article how 99% of intakes are designed to PULL air through them, while a blower/turbo are FORCING the air in. so all kinds of crazy things can happen.
