1986 GT(Rebuild 302 or Build/Buy 351W)
Hey all!
I recently purchased an 86 GT 5.0 5 Speed. Short throw shifter and exhaust(Cat Delete/Glasspacks), otherwise 100% Stock.. Im doing this all on the cheapest budget to get to 350hp/Torque. If that's not budgetly possible ill go for 300 Hp and 350+ Tourqe.. I want to either build a 302 or 351W. It has a stock Speed Density 302 with a BAD Vacuum leak and rather bad oil leak in front seal near water pump(Note: Car has sat for quite a bit lately.. Titled last in 07 and tagged last in 05.. So things are bad on the 302.. and the T-5 Has 4th gr issues) Please help me on which would be a cheaper build!!! P.S. I need to buy the 351w if i get one so yeah.
