what should i do next? how can i save $?
i got a 71' d1ae block running on a stand. the 4 barrel holley might need replacing or tlc. the aod core i used to start it is on its way to be rebuilt. are there any factory headers and oil pan i can use?

Google. I would say there are at least 1000000000000 people that have done this exact swap you are doing LOL. You are going to kill yourself by running an engine on a cheap engine stand. Put that sob on blocks on the ground, bolt up a tranny before you try running it up in the air on a cheap harbor freight stand.
I will try to help you out with question the best I can because I have done this swap. But before I dropped that engine in the car do a leakdown and compression check on it before you spend all of the time and money trying to get it driving. |

o yeah of course. new valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, wires, oil pan gasket, oil change, filter, etc. u know. this is going to be my daily driver so i cant afford to be on the side of the road because of some ten year old spark plugs lol
but yeah we bolted the aod up to it to get it started before we sent it to the transmission shop |
