forged pistons?
Looking at a roller block that the guy says is from a year with forged pistons (1990).
The connecting rods do look forged, but the crank looks cast... was the crank cast for that year, or forged also? When I say "looks cast" I mean simply that the parting line is only 1mm wide. Couldn't say about the pistons themselves... parting line wasn't obvious but I need to take a closer look tomorrow. Anyway to tell from casting serial numbers to be sure? |

Im not 100 % but in should have cast crank and cast rods but the pistons are forged

The pistons will have TRW stamped on the bottom side if they are forged. The crank was cast and I beleive the rods were forged!

Can't see anything on the bottom... might hot tank 'em soon though.
The tops say "E7ZE-611D-CA" and then "Ford" forged or hypereutectic? |

Yes , they should be a stock TRW Forged pistons. But is should be 6110 not 611D.
