70mm AOD Loss of power

First off I know I shouldn't have put the 70mm throttle body and spacer, but my stock one was sticking..Also I knew there would be loss of power in the bottom end .. My problem now is when I first start it sometimes it wont shift into 2nd untill I back off the gas. thats one of my problems, then at the same time it'll pop/ like a backfire. This is only with the stock air intake, whats the deal? Is it because of the 70mm throtle body ? Switch back to stock 60mm right? And the EGR, how do you check it ? thanks !! Im knew to thiis forum

i dont see how it could affect the shifting of the aod... but I've never owned an auto fox. It could be leaking have you checked the seal.

Not sure on the AOD's because I've never owned a ford auto, but if they have a kickdown cable, then that's where I would start looking. The TB alone won't cause shifting issues.

Be careful. You can seriously damage your trans if you screw it up.Take it to a shop to be adjusted.

I'm kinda new to the 5.0 and the workings of the AOD, but doesn't the TPS have an effect on things?

TPS for driving issues, and TV cable for downshifts. And as previously mentioned, you can burn up clutches in your trans due to a poorly adjusted tv cable.

from what I know there isn't really a way to bench test an EGR. And I don't know shit about transmissions, just that the tv cable is connected to the throttle body.
