gaaaaahhh I hope not!! I found some receipts from when I filled my old fox up 2 years ago for a total of 28 bucks for 14 gallons of premium. Now I'm paying about 50! in two years thats a major increase! I'm sure some of you older guys remember when gas was like 30/40 cents a gallon and they only had high octane for sale. As for me.... well I wasn't around then.

seriously... some one is just watching and laughing at us. I heard for every cent increase they make billions. My dad was in Venezuela in 2002 and they increased gas from 2 cents to 3 cents, and there was a riot the day he left because of the increase. If its so cheap in other countries, it could be here. Some one is knocking us around.

DO NOT sign up for any credit card that charges a fee. No annual or monthly fees. They get your interest payments, that should be enough. I don't think you should put any of this on credit either, other than your car but do that with a bank. You will pay way more in the long run on wasted finance/interest charges. Coming from someone who's had more than 40,000 dollars in credit card debt in the past (including a vehicle and a motorcycle that I paid off with a balance transfer because the ending interest rate was about the same as the banks rate after the 18 month zero percent introductory rate) to owning only one credit card now for emergency only. I make good money, and it takes years to pay it down. In the last 11 years (since I waited until I was 20 to get a credit card) I probably could have bought your planned project car twice just with the interest I've paid. Having good credit just means that they are more than willing to borrow you more and more money, lol. Just take it from me, wait until you have the money. It can get out of hand quickly if you are impatient like I used to be. And having all that debt plus my wife's debt cost us 1/2 point interest on my mortgage when we jumped on the refinance bandwagon with everyone else when interest rates dropped. We still refi'd for less, but a half point more is A LOT when it comes to your mortgage.

How the hell is he going to get a credit card at 16? Its always been 18 unless they have changed things, which I highly doubt. You are speculating this whole build on the chance of getting a credit card with a high ass limit at 16? good luck, even at 18 you will maybe get a card if you work on your credit that has a 2000 limit. How are you calculating average yearly earnings? Your allowance? You have a job at 15? That used to be 16 to legally work, unless its changed too.
Back to the original question does the kit have everything you will need = NO it doesn't come with a car. I have tried to be nice and answer some of your questions but I don't see your parents letting you buy a mustang and build it into a 9 second turbo car, sorry but even if they did I am betting it ends up in a scrap yard within months. I sold my old 92 LX with gt40 top end and bolt ons to a 16 year old girl, that I tried to talk out of it, and her 16 year old boyfriend was "teaching her how to pull burnouts" when they wrapped it around a pole a few days later, they called me the first day they bought it and he was teaching her "how to drive stick" and had broken the clutch cable and said the car was messed up and it was my fault, I was nice enough to pay to replace the cable, and 2 days later I find out why they had already screwed it up when it ended up totalled.

yes it was sarcastic, but serious at the same time. it sounds like you have taken the yearly earnings of a job at mcdonalds, and think that you will be able to allocate all of it to your car! life costs money bud ! get your DL, and than a car first.

At first he'll be able to take everything and put it into his car...But after he starts driving it, man oh man. I put every penny I earned into buying my fox, and once I started driving it, the money started depleting. Alternator went, had to replace my driveshaft, needed 4 new tires, needed to replace my pilot bearing, while that was done I went through the trans to find a bent shift fork and bad synchros etc. Shit adds up man, just start driving it when you have a job to support it is all. Or know your parents have your back if anything pops up. My parents have spotted me cash a few times, I just had to pay them back obviously.

I see what everyone is saying, the turbo kit is to much for me. I'll just go slow and gradually move up. Still, the mustang itself is far more important than the turbo kit.

nothing wrong with wanting a mustang dude! they are 20 yr old cars, and like stangbanger302 said , it will need maintanance, fuel, insurance, and so on. i think at 16 you will be more than happy (for a while) with what a pretty stock/lightly modded mustang will do.get some miles under your belt before you try to handle a 450hp poney or you'll end up wrapped around a tree

Of course - Pony Down (with the exception of a Brazilian turbo option and a couple small components) is made in the US, On3 makes their products in China (although, again, they've started using Brazilian turbos). That's where the difference in cost comes in. Pony Down has a pretty good reputation, although I haven't seen their products in person.
