Filter sock/fuel quality question
carbed 88 gt. Have been reading about the external fuel pump setup and have the tank off and pickup out. Some have mentioned adding a T at the end of the in-tank line to replace the stock in-tank pump but couldnt this send chunks of debris from tank right into external pump by not having sock filter? (tank isnt in bad shape so maybe this isnt an issue) Pump is before main inline fuel filter (as its doing the pushing) but it would seem that modifying the sock to fit on the new internal pumpless pickup tube or trying to find a good inline pre-pump filter would extend filter life. first post so go easy, and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

figured it out, thanks. found a sock strainer that will fit right on the 5/16 fuel line and am checking to make sure that it filters the same size as stock (i think 60 micron)
