A 393 will out run a 347 huh? That's a pretty generalized statement. I know a lot of 347s that will spank certain 393s. Especially if you're building the junkyard 393 using stock 351 rods, and 302 pistons, because those are heavier than aftermarket rods and pistons, so it adds to the rotating mass, and causes it to accellerate slower.
