1985 GT w/8.8 rear

I have an 85 GT. To my knowledge nobody before me has changed out the rear end, I always assumed it to be a 7.5, but when I finally got around to look at more closely, I found it to be an 8.8. Do you know if any stock 85 GTs ever came with an 8.8?

I'm pretty sure they all did. Run a Google search for 88 gt rear end, should find something

To my knowledge.. My 86' Was the firs year to have an 8.8

I've never seen any 85's with a stock 8.8!

85 was a 7.5", someone swapped it out.

Mine was the same way. '85s are 7.5's. Saved me some money finding the already swapped 8.8 on my car
