42543C mufflers
Classic 2 Chamber : Flowmaster Inc. Exhaust Shop, Love That Sound!

regular 42543 40's
Aluminized Steel : Flowmaster Inc. Exhaust Shop, Love That Sound!

is there any sound difference on these, i did notice the 42543c are box shaped, didnt know if that had an effect on sound or not, but i am positive i want to go with the classic 40 series though, and also do i need a 2.5 inch inlet and outlet on the muffler if i am running 2.5 inch piping or can i get away with using 2.25 inlet and outlet and i know that may seem like a stupid question

thanks for the help guys and oh here is the youtube video

OrangeStang42,
Here’s a chart showing the interior and exterior sound ranges between different Flowmaster and Hushpower mufflers. This should help answer some of your sound comparison questions.

The Flowmaster "Super 44” is the loudest muffler we offer in cat-back systems and other than the single chamber “Super 10”, it is our loudest street muffler.

There are 2 Cat Back systems with Super 44 mufflers for your 95 GT. The 17112 (with aluminized tips) and 17212 (with stainless tips). The 17112 is listed as aggressive and the 17212 is listed as moderate sound.

If you want to call the tech line, we can talk you through all the choices. 1-800-544-4761

We also have the 2 “Force II” systems with 50-Series Delta Flow Mufflers 17114 (with aluminized tips) and the 17214 (with stainless tips).

We don’t actually offer a Cat Back system with the “40 Series” (The Original Two Chamber) mufflers. You could buy our Tail Pipe Kit 15815 and install which ever mufflers you choose.
