question on GT40p heads.

well i have some all stock gt40p heads laying around my garage and was wondering if i can just bolt these heads on the way they are or will i need to buy parts for them?

also i plan on running a E303 or B303 cam for now until i really start tearing into the motor for a full build then i will get a custom ground cam.

if i need more parts what all will i need to buy to install these heads besides gaskets?

there good to go on to a stock bottom end with out any problems! just did the set up on a friends car! awesome set up people say watch for the valve clearance due to the notches in the piston's. the set up we had DID NOT HAVE NOTCHES AND WORKED AWESOME WITH ZERO PROBLEMS! if you wanted bolt one head down place clay on piston and turn motor over then take head off to see if the valves hit again i didnt have a problem at all but you here diff storys .

The cam is what makes or breaks PTV, not the heads themselves for the most part. Valve angle and size does come into play, but valve events are more critical. Most people don't have clearance issues with GT-40's and most common OTS cams, but you always check for PTV. If you don't you can end up with bent valves or worse.

You can bolt them on, but I would get springs for them. If you haven't bought a letter cam yet, don't waste the money. You'll also want to buy a pushrod length checker and check for the correct length pushrods.
