Swapping Stock Kmembers
Well as the project car gets closer to being put together, i have a kmember out of a 91 5.0L im going to swap in since the 81 2.3 kmember narrows the suspension mounting points a bit and i plan to throw the car into the twists a bit.
Now my question is just if there is anything i need to do to get the new factory kmember in there and in the correct place. Im looking forward to getting everything back in and together but want to make sure i do things correctly do i dont want the kmember going in crooked. |

Never done a stock to stock swap before, so this may or may not help or be necessary, but I do know that when you do a tubular, you need to square the k-member. Whether or not the stock ones are adjustable like this I don't know. I never really looked at mine when it came off. But if someone doesn't chime in with some knowledge, then start on page 7 here.
