What types of rims they could be butt ugly and curbed up or no rubber on the slicks. I would say 100 per rim and tire. Give him $400 and a case of beer

I gave 600 for a newer/used (but in great shape) welds with brand new slicks and skinnys. If they are abused at all and the tires are low on tread I wouldnt give more than 400

Those are street tires right? If so, check the DOT required date code on them, it is a four number code, first two numbers are the week, last two are the year, so 4508 would be the 45th week of 2008 etc... As slicks and drag radials age, their traction goes to nothing regardless of how much tread they appear to still have. Unless of course you don't care about the tires and only want the rims.

I don't like that particular wheel. I wouldnt go over 250-3 if you can confirm the tires aren't shot

i was probably just gonna use the "well i got 200 cash on me, prob not gonna take it, but if a couple months from now u still cant sell em and want the garage space lemme know" type of deal.

its not a necessity for me, but it'd be nice.

im gonna look at em today though (since the pics suck), what should I be loooking for? obv look for dry rot and rust, but i mean how deep are the wear indicators new? how deep when completely used up?

well if u look at the pics i cant tell how old they are. there only 3 numbers at the end not four. i looked up on my own before even posting how to read the week/year, but it doesnt seem to work out on these.

The only thing i was able to identify is its the L8 compound (which i believe is medium/medium-soft)

i went there today. added more pics to the link from a few posts ago. if u look the tread wear marks are less than 2 mm's. the guy tried to tell me they were 5mm's. he sed he bought them in 2001, so they're WELL past their useful life. i offered him $100, he declined, but i cant imagine he's gonna get anything for the tires they're beat

The DOT date code is only required on street tires. At least he told you how old they were. Someone will buy them.

A friend has those same rims.. they are centerline autodrags and compared to my 15x3.5" weld draglites the autodrags are lighter but not my kind of taste... and they don't bring the money that other wheels do so I wouldn't pay more then 300 for those rims but then again I wouldn't buy them anyways.
