Clutch is new. I forgot to mention the smog pump is deleted and fan is routed correctly. As for the water oump I had someone elde install for me I didn't have any time to work on it, he knows a lot about stangs so i know is has to be correct flow. Even he has no idea what it caould be.

Did the problem start after you did the heads? Could be air in the system.

What gauge are you using for the temps?
260*?

"no.....but wont suck back coolant when needed (in theory)."
If your street stang is pulling coolant from the reserve, then your in trouble on a different level. Run the car to about 240 on the gauge, turn the headlights on full way, then get under the passenger side and see if there's any white smoke... Let it rest, then repeat with the headlights off. If you're not getting any smoke, then your not vaporizing your water flow. Can your friend do a controlled environment test to see if the car begins to ping-out after you break 270? It could just be an electrical mis-read by your gauge. |

If your stock parts are working, you'd be in trouble.....you'd be in the twighlight zone.
