started changing fpr dropped bolt in injector hole any suggestions

need a few pointers guys. man i can tell i have been working on big machines for awhile because working on cars is alot more difficult. the stuff i work on is big but not hard to get to anything most of the time. but anyways i was putting my adjustable fpr in and i dropped the bolt into the injector hole. will a magnet pull it out or will i have to pull the lower intake out to find it. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks guys.

You'll prolly need a flexible one if trying to go through the injector hole. You can get it easier if you pull the upper intake off. Lower can stay on.

We've all been there in some shape or form.

try a magnet.

but I would just order new gaskets for the lower intake and pull it.

Better cross your fingers that intake valve doesn't happen to be open. as the bolt might be sitting ontop of a piston right now.

Those bolts are small, try a shop vac with the smallest attachment, you will hear if it gets sucked up

+1 good idea.

can put your hand over the lower intake ports where it mounts to the upper to help the vaccum pull it out.

You can also tape up a small piece of plastic tubing (like the kind for supplying water to your refrigerator) to the end of the shop vac hose. Even if the bolt doesn't fit, the suction should hold it. Do those FPR bolts have washers as well and did it go down there to?

I know the feeling. I dropped the dizzy hold down bolt into my dizzy hole. It took me hours but I was eventually able to verify it made it to the oil pan and I just left it in there. It's not going to go anywhere but for added safety, I put a small strong magnet from an old hard drive on my pan to make sure.
