Vibration at the top of 3rd gear??

No vibration in 1st or 2nd but when the rpm's start to climb (over 4000 to redline) in 3rd gear the shifter starts to vibrate like crazy and continues to vibrate even after I shift to 4th and 5th until I slow the car down. It shifts fine and very rarely grinds when going into any gear. Could this be worn tranny crossmember mounts causing vibration at higher speeds or something internal? I was going to order new urethane crossmember bushings and a urethane tranny mount and see if that helps my problem. Whatcha think?

Could be driveshaft, u-joints, or anything else that is mph related. Those rpm's are just getting you to higher and higher mph's.

Before the transmission is rpm, after is mph, and the trans can be some of each.

Never even thought of the driveshaft...Maybe I'll start with u-joints. There is absolutely no vibration until you get the r's up there in third. If you shift at 3 grand all the way through fifth..there is hardly any vibration in fifth gear at 60mph.

I have the same problem about 90mph up but i can feel it in the steering wheel, i had it realigned after i added the suspension and it is still there, since i feel it in the steering would that basically mean its in the front suspension somewhere?

Yours could be as simple as a wheel out of balance.

THREAD JACKING SON OF A BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!

just kidding, I don't care.

I just ordered a u-joint so we'll see if that helps it. Also ordered UPR uppers and lowers, new door handles with hinge kit and strikers...just kinda got on a order kick for a minute there.

You have 2 u-joints. Hope you didn't finish that order.
