Chunk near end
I have a question about a chunk of iron or whatever it is near the rear end, I believe it is for vibration. Can this be removed to save weight or will it affect handling?

Ok, I have control arms ready to install, but I need to know the real purpose for this chunk of iron by the rear end. I don't want to take it off and screw some shit up before I know the real purpose of this thing. Does anyoneone know why is it there and how much it weighs and is it for traction purposes. I read on other sites and they say it only weighs 5 lbs., but that doesn't sound right. Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

Take it off and put it on a scale, and mines been off my car for over 6 years now, and I've removed them from every other fox I've ever owned.
