pinging when under a load

well I had it to the floor the other day and heard what seems like top-end pinging(like using low end gas). The plugs are new, wires cap, rotor, wires all new. The only difference is I removed a failed 180 degree t-stat and reinstalled the factory the 192 degree. I have also ran a few tanks through with 93 octane. any thoughts

Double check the timing. Maybe bad gas. That is where i would start.

Yes, check timing. Also if you bought the car from someone and you have never looked at the ECU take a look. My car did this for a while and I couldn't figure it out until one day I took the ECU out and what do you know it had a chip in it. I took the POS chip out and I haven't had one problem since then.
