options with my 95 kennebell GT
I have a 95 GT with a 5spd, It has a mostly stock 5.0 with full exhaust and a kennebell blowzilla running 8psi, it has 42lb injectors and a 255 fuel pump and anderson powerpipe. I want more power and ive been brainstorming on what to do.
Would anyone advise putting a 50-75hp wet shot on the car? it would give a good hp increase and an outstanding increase in torque. I would also probably get a boostapump and an SCT chip so i could put atleast 2 tunes on the car one for regular driving with the supercharger and one that is tuned for nitrous. Is there any flaws or major problems i would run into? can I just inject straight into my anderson powerpipe? THANKS! |

How about a good head and cam combo that should give you a good bump in horsepower and torque?

Also i think if you could get your hands on an intercooler kit for the KB blower some how would really help, since they have a tendency to heatsoak. Depends, but never a bad idea to keep her running cooler and freeing up HP. ( That is if you are having temp issues ) |

I would like to do heads and cam but I want to maintain as much driveability as possible, I drive the car everyday. And nitrous kit with everything and a tune should be around 1500 give or take a little, and my blower setup doesng really allow for a intercooler unless you fabricate it all. I just thought most bang for you buck and power and drivabilty when u want a 50-75 wet shot would be a good option? Maybe I'm wrong though has anyone tried this or know anyone who has?

Well personally i wouldnt even bother with a 50 shot but a little more perhaps and it could work. Are you planning to use the nos and car for street/strip Or mostly just strip?
Another option over Nos is you could Get some GT-40 heads Or GT-40P's (whatever ones you want ) From a Junkyard and a blower cam from Anderson and it would really help he go. Plus you could talk to Anderson about the different cams and they can set you up with one that would also allow very nice Drive ability. Assuming your looking to save some money you could possibly get those heads and a new cam for even less than then what your whole Nos setup would cost. personally i would look at bigger heads if your really looking for HP but i know it can can get costly so if your looking for saving money and doing minor upgrades the Other heads would work fine, and really nicely if ya can port them but all up to you. Just trying to give ya options. But anything will be a major improvement if you have stock heads and cam the car will really love the upgrades. Just some ideas though. Hope it helps. |

Running a blower and nitrous on a stock short block, I would think that would be pushing the limits. With the cast pistons and such. Could be mistaken tho, Been wrong plenty times before.

Yeah man I wouldn't spend all the money on a nitrous kit for a small shot. Do hci.

ok, well i cant do intake because the blower only bolts to the stock intake i could do some porting and polishing, get some gt40p heads and call anderson to see what they think for a camshaft. has anyone messed with meth injection? and what kind of results can you expect?

You could swap for a Cobra upper and lower intake, BBK intake, Edelbrock intake, TrickFlow intake...I thought all of these fit like stock??

No he can't. His blower only mounts on the stock lower.

A kennebell supercharger replaces the upper portion of an intake.

If you decide to go the head and cam route and want a little more flow from the intake I know there is an option for the blower to mate to a GT40 intake so you may be able to upgrade just the portion that goes from the blower to the intake manifold if you wanted to go that route.

Yeah that totally went over my head, wasn't even thinking about the blower head unit replacing the upper manifold. My bad.

I am not positive but I know the blower has a pipe that goes from the supercharger to the lower intake manifold so I think you might be able to buy just the pipe that is designed for the GT40 lower intake.

im not sure the cost of buying the other supercharger plate would affect the hp enough to justify it, ill probably just got some gt40p heads and port and polish them and then intake along with an anderson cam a new tune and possibly some meth injection. that should provide a pretty good gain
