Flat tappet vs. Roller?

could someone explain the difference between Flat tappet and roller blocks? (set ups?)

Also what is the difference in performance? if nothing then why did they switch everything over to rollers?

Roller = less friction & higher RPM range
Flat Tappet = more friction, less allowable rpms, but better power at low rpms due to solid lifter

+ more aggressive lobe profiles, less wear and tear given the same variables

they sell the kits, or you can buy the expensive link bar lifters and that route.

yes you can convert.

The conversion kit, you have to drill into your lifter valley so you can mount the crows feet thing piece, the other one takes a smidge of maching and you can drop in the link bar lifters, but they are pricey

As far a durability and strength is it worth converting and how much do the kits cost? or would I be better of just getting a roller block?
