died like its outta fuel
so i just bought a 93 gt from a guy that had this thing since 1996 and he had only driven it 20 mi. the last 6 yrs. believe me when i tell you its pristine....
anyway i was driving the other day and it all of the sudden cut out like it ran out of gas...i thought at first maybe it was the ignition module...checked that and then i thought it was the fuel pump because i didnt hear it turn on after i turned the key to on. i think its just the power to the pump so if anyone knows where the fuel pump's circut starts please share....and if anyone else thinks its something else please feel free to tel me. i got 2 weeks till i fly it out to hawaii so i got something to drive on base...thanks Semper FI Dean |

The fuel pump relay on a 93 is under the hood on the passenger side kind of where the MAF is. Its mounted there on the inside of the fender. If you push the valve in on the port on your fuel rail does fuel come out? If it does then you have fuel.

also, look in the trunk on the drivers side behind the plastic panels for the inertia switch.. see if its popped or not. if you think for some reason its a wiring problem, you can take your battery to the back of the car, disconnect the fuel pump cannon plug and throw the leads on there. thats a quick way to tell if its your fuel pump or something leading up to it.

i already checked the inertia switch and it was fine. i couldnt find the relay fro the life of me....thanks

my relay is under the passenger side kick panel.it shuold be clicking when you turn the ignition on.just had the same problem 2 weeks ago.it is an 89 so yours may be different.good luck

your fuel pump relay is under your drivers seat .

it ended up that when i took out the feul pump i missed a burned wire on the holding unit that keeps the pump in place in the tank...yea 400 dollars and a self-sustained kick in the behind!
