Still reading cold

I bought the car and the stock gauge read 155*. I put in a 180* hv thermo and a hv waterpump, also changed the radiator cap. Hose pressure is good, but it still only gets up to 155* (the middle of the "L" on "normal").

I guess my gauge is bad. Where's the cheapest place to get pilar gauges?

How are Auto Meter pillars and gauges? I'll just get the single pod, and there are a million water temp gauge models from Auto Meter.

have you thought about changing the coolant sensor on the motor?

The first two pictures you posted is the sensor for the guage. The 3rd picture you posted is the sensor for the ECU itself. I know it seems silly but thats the way it is. If its your guage that is messing up then its the one in the first two pictures.

I got one here fairly recently at autozone. It wasn't labeled as guage sender though. I wanna say it was labeled temperature switch or something like that. Have them look it up and go back and get it and take a look at it. Autzone in virginia carries them in stock.
