RE Audio is ok for the cheap stuff. It's a lot better than Jensen, but it's probably on par with Profile and TMA and brands like that. If you just want some power added, it'll get the job done. At 4 ohms a channel you'll most likely be putting around a true 35RMS to each speaker which is plenty. I've never liked the Blaupunkt stuff to be honest, but I've also never worked at a place that sold it so maybe they've improved, or maybe I've never seen the good stuff, I don't know. All I know is I've replaced a lot of blown Blaupunkt stuff over the years.
That amp's got 4GA inputs on it, but at 50A fuse rating, you can do 8GA and be fine, as long as it's true 8GA and not the cheap crap that's been floating around for the past couple years that's more insulation than copper. 4GA would be easier because the 4GA forks that come in most kits will fit those amp terminals better than 8 GA ones. Either way you go you'll be fine. Generally yes, 1 and 2 are front and 3 and 4 are rear, but don't count on that because that's only as reliable as the guy who installed the stuff in the first place. |

No stinger is good stuff. If you've got monster cable RCA's and stinger power wire, you're in good shape, that's all good material.

ok just looked at it and i found a 8ga,blue wire and the end of the two rca's near the driver sie shock tower under the panel. Once i get a amp and hook those all up what will i need to unhook so my speaker are powered off the amp and not the HU.

RCA's have 2 channels per set. So if you have 2 sets of RCA's then you've got enough for a 4 channel amp. Also check to make sure your head unit has pre-outs for front and rear. Some decks have just front and sub outputs so just because there's 2 sets of RCA's doesn't automatically mean you have front and rear outputs on the head-unit. Even if it is only front, you can just hook those up and there should be a switch on the amp to select between 2 and 4 channel inputs. You'll just lose fade control that way, but it you tune it right, you'll never need fade anyway.
Check for a ground near there in the back too. If not you can easily run your own, but make sure it's a good ground free of paint and a good bolt or decent self tapping screp that isn't just in to one thin piece of sheetmetal. You'll need either to run speaker wire directly from the crossover inputs directly to the amp (preferred way) or just unhook the wires at your deck and tie the amp in there. That's not the best way because you have more connections to go bad now, and the stock wiring is a bit thinner than decent speaker wire. I've done it like that more than a few times when it saves a bunch of time, but it's definitely not the best way. Either way you do it, make sure you cap off the speaker wires coming off the deck. If they touch each other or chassis ground you could burn the internal amp in the deck. |

well in that case you might want to find out if you even have outputs for that.. those could be just for a sub (and they probably are) What deck do you have?

some old eclipse looking one haha. I know that on the back it does have two sets of rca where two can plug into each. The ones i have now are plugged into one of them and the other two are capped off. I will have to get a better look tomorrow.

You'd be surprised. Eclipse headunits had the shittiest displays on them up until a couple years ago. Ones from 2008 looked like they were from 99 with their old clock looking displays, lol. They sound fantastic though and they all had higher voltage pre-outs, which means more voltage sent in to that amp, the more you can get out of the amp. Good units, crappy screens. But I would rather have a unit that had all it's engineering in sound quality than in looks anyway.
