its the stock maf i believe so i want to upgrade anyways i think it could help. I am going to 24lb injectors because some dumbass put 1 24lb and 7 19lb in my car sooo.. cheaper to do 24lb, and i think it will be better unless you guys have another opinion on that. same as maf i have a stock 55mm one in there with a 70mm tb so that has to be changed also so i thought lets do this all in one shot

$500 for a chip reflash and they didn't do it on a dyno? Do you even know what the name of the company that did it was? ... I think you got hosed. First, get that odd ball injector out of the mix. If you're getting 24's and a MAF then wait until you get those in before you continue troubleshooting. Just don't get a C&L MAF whatever you do. I'm sure it'll still run like poo when you get that stuff on there (hopefully not, but I wouldn't get your hopes up) so post back when you do.

hey guys its been a little while and I have put it the new injectors in and still waiting on the maf, should be here by friday.

Got a few new questions because i have been working on it:

fuel pump tests out a 25psi koeo. Is this suitable or get a new one?

looking at regulators because i have a feeling i need a new one is it ok to get one from holly that is 25-70psi with getting a 255lph pump?

does anyone have a vacuum diagram at all for a 89 5.0, i believe there is a few vacuum lines that are mixed up (maybe not) but when i put in the injectors it wasnt looking right.

i know you wanted me to wait until i get these things done but i can work on other things as im waiting.

thx for the help. vacuum diagram would be friggin awesome

When you checked your fuel pressure, did you pull the vacuum line off of the fuel pressure regulator ?.....I think your fuel pressure need to be about 39 psi, but I'm unsure if that applies if the engine in not running. Hopefully some one else will chime in on that.

But i think upgrading your fuel pump is a good idea regardless, And 255lph is what i went with, there only 100 bucks

The fuel system isn't perfect. When the key is off you'll bleed pressure so the only way to really know is when the pump is running, which means the car has to be running. Like ryan said, 39lbs with the vac line unplugged from the regulator is where you want to be.

ok well i guess autozone was a little misunderstood of how to check my fuel pressure, i will go back. Also what is the minimum pressure to sustain 24lb injectors? is there really a rule of thumb or no. thx for the quick responses

Holy shit ! My spout connecter isn't hooked up either! I kept reading about them and I just assumed it was the big connecter to the distributer. My problem might be solved!
