Just bought this car 90 gt convet 5speed the owner don't know any thing about the motor. Looks all stock on the outside but who knows on the inside he said it had 289 heads but not sure why?????????

The problem i am having is the car hunts for idle when you touch the gas it revs up to 2500rpm the dies
when you unhook the iac it idles a little bit better but still won't rev up right

i have cleaned the iac & maf & checked for vac leaks

i'm checking the codes today and set the tps

any help would be nice thanks

i have set base idle set tsp cleaned every thing still does the same thing it will idle a little but its very rough

would the 289 heads make it do this?
