1992 LX exhaust issues

1992 LX vert looks to be having some exhaust issues. theres a visible hole in one of the mufflers and then on the other pipe there a clear disconnection right before the muffler.

what are the effects of these issues? is it a simple fix at a muffler shop?

thats exactly what my pipes look like right now. my car was 20 times louder the other day and i looked under and one of the pipes was cracked completely in half lol. sounds mean as hell tho =]

anywho i bought a repair kit at kragen for $11 bucks. its just a metal sleeve that wraps around the pipe and claps it closed.

Carbon Monoxide in the Cabin is possible. Depending on local laws and how loud it is you could get a noise ticket. Got one ten years ago riding around with open headers, and as you mentioned it will not pass car inspection. A muffler shop with half decent welder should fix it easily.
