How fast 5.0 stock fox body LX

Does anyone know how fast a stock fox body LX 5.0 5 speed runs in a 1/4 mile. Were talking street tires also.

With the stick, you could probably see high 14s. That is if you dont lauch too hard with those street tires and dont spin your a$$ off...My AOD went 15.2 all stock on street tires launching at idle.

My buddys ran a 14.8 stock with a 5 speed at commerce dragway in Atlanta. Forget the mph though. It was a 93 LX too.

I ran my bone stock 91GT 5 speed with 2.73 probably 100 times and I averaged between 15.1 and 15.3 at 93MPH leaving just above idle.

I've gone 13.90s with a stock 88 GT with the only modification being a Hurst shifter. Several guys in the area have gone high 13s to low 14s with stock Mustangs.

My daily driver has 16 cylinders and 4400hp @ 1000 rpm....

Yeah, and I think after you do a few runs and get your launch and shifting figured out that will make a big difference, too. You might go to the track the first time and think I got a piece of crap because it only runs 15.5 or slower, but that could get better with practice. Or, maybe you really do have a piece of crap, in which case it won't get better. Hope for the first one.

9000 hp, 170 knots, 9 aluminum drive shafts, 3 piston disk brakes, can carry 9 camaros to the junkyard at the same time.

That is the biggest gain will be, learning to shift and drive.

And have been for years. Those guys spend alot of time with R&D. Some of those guys are making close to 300 horsepower at the wheels with fox body cars.

Looking at the info for most foxes from the factory, they ran the quarter mile in the 14 second range . [ stock ]

Have you driven a Ford lately ?
