95 v6 trans harness ( t-5)

hi guys, scott here. new to the sn95 scene. doing my first swap from v6 to 5.0 does anyone know if my existing harness coming from the top of the firewall ( little square plug ) will work with a v8 main harness ? reason i am asking is because i got a new v8 computer harness, and it does not have a provision in it for the little white plug that is mounted to the right rear fender apron, just behind the tower. ( looks like an airbag sensor plug but it is not ). does anyone know what this plug is for and does it have to be hooked up to run the v8 main harness ?. i am trying to see if i have to change this harness out or not but nobody can tell me so far. this plug has a little gray shorting plug right next to it on a v6 car right up where the eec test port is on a v8 car. can anyone help ?. im not sure what else this "trans" harness controls. i see it rides along the firewall and dips down at the bellhousing, but i am not sure where it goes from there or what it controls. any input would be appreciated. thank you !!!
