Fox body oil pan

Here my problem.Picking up my 359 block next week and do i have to run a oil fan from a fox body or can I use the oil pan that is currenly on the block.The pan on the block is from a truck.

You can't use either. You'll need a 351-fox swap pan, or one from an early 80's 351 crown vic will work IIRC.

K summit makes a 302 to 351 swap oil pan tha comes with a pick up tube for $130

I think a 2001 F body pan will work

I did this same thing when I did my 302 to 351w swap. I ordered the pan from summit and got it 2 days later and it fits perfectly! I tried to form my own oil pan from the old truck pan and couldn't get it anywhere near close. Just be sure to plug the hole in the block where the old dipstick use to go through or you'll have a nice big leak!
