help with very rough power estimate

hi, i recently purchased an auto 92 5.0 LX vert with some mods from the previous-previous owner. I can come up with a list of all the definite mods but the things i can see are hard to name brand.

i know theres:
-a march ram air intake
-shorty headers (dont think theyre the stock set)
-2.5 flowmaster exhaust.

so how much hp/tq do you think im working with with those mods up there? ive also noticed that the auto tranny shifts pretty hard and really quick, not sure why or if its a problem. also not too sure what mod that could be. on another note the idle is sort of lopey and has the signs of a mild aftermarket cam but i dont know for sure and dont want to go around saying i have a cam so i wont try to factor those into my rough power estimate.

also is there a way to figure out if different gears have been installed without lifting the car up?

thanks for the help

jack the rear end off the ground. watch the driveshaft and spin the wheels. count the roations for the wheels until the driveshaft makes 1 full turn, thats your gear ratio. if its stock youll have 3.08 or 3.27, assuming the car has always been an auto.

I always thought it was the opposite, spin the wheels one full rotation and count the amount the driveshaft turns?

thanks guys and i knew i wasnt making much over stock but for some reason this lx pulls a lot harder than my previous stock 88 gt hatch 5spd

any torque estimates? this is all out of curiousity and so that i dont start bragging about numbers i "think" i have. i like being on the modest side anyway i just cant tell why this lx pulls so much harder

Wsup again...I had a friendly showdown earlier tonight with my good friend who drives an 03 GT 5spd (cai/exhaust). From 10-15 we punched it and took it to about 100 and while we both had horrible traction through 2nd and into third he never pulled more than half a car on me.

Do the numbers add up according to the events tonight? Should I start looking for other mods or am I over thinking this? Sorry if this is me getting too excited

Racing a modular 2V is like racing a kid in a wheelchair.
