compression 9 to 1 VS. 11 to 1
My question is , if you have 3 high proformace engines all with the same parts and the only difference is the compression ratio, for example lets say the 9 to 1 compression engine has 225 hp, what would the horse power be at 10 to 1 and 11 to 1? is there a mathethmatical formula to this?

It depends....
There is no formula that I know of. I've heard engine builders say 1 compression point is worth 20-25 horsepower but it really depends on the rest of the combination.

There is no good answer, because it takes a lot different cam profile to run a 9:1 engine, than it does an 11:1 engine. So if you build the first engine at 9:1, and you bump that engine to 11:1, your combo will be wrong, therefore you will not get the most out of your newfound compression.
