Started digging around in the 95 GT
Well , I got this 1995 GT on a trade deal. The car is in very good condition in my opinion. There has been alot of work done to the car by the PO. What was done ??
I don' know. So I started digging around this weekend and here's what I found out so far between visable work and receipts that came with the car.. (over 4 grand in receipts) ![]() 5.0 pushrod V8 215 hp from the factory. New purchase price was $14530.00 (GT Coupe) Color: Canary Yellow (3,497 made) Total Production 137,722 1- All the pollution controls have been removed. (air pump / cats /ect..) 2- BBK shorty headers 3- 2.5 " H-pipe 4- Flowmasters 5- New Radiator 6- New Borg Warner T5 trans 7- New U-Joints 8- C&L Performance Cold Air Intake 9- New idle control motor 10- New throttle body 11- A/C is not working( looks like the PO was going to have it removed) 12- Heater hoses are capped off in the engine bay 13- New air pump replacement pully 14- New serpentine belt 15-New water pump 16-New fuel pump 17- New brakes 18- New Exedy Mach 500 stage 2 clutch Now I have to find out if any work was done to the engine. I was told the engine was rebuilt and why would you rebuild an engine and not do some upgrades? How much additional HP would the above upgrades produce? As I find more stuff I'll post it. Bernie

If the heater hoses are capped, it makes me wonder if the heater core is leaking. Cuz i have no clue why any one would disconect a heater, Defrost is a must regrdless of where you live.
When the fuel pump was replaced was it upraded to a bigger one? When the throttle body was replaced was it upgraded to a bigger one ?

I'm still digging but I will check to see if those were upgraded. I did look to see if there was any rust or rotted carpet in the heater core area and it's all in great shape. I have no idea why the hoses are capped off. But there's one way to find out.. I'll post what I find.
