Removing AC Compressor
Hello all,
I'm currently in the process of removing the engine from my mustang. It has the 302, and I'm curious about removing the AC compressor. Should I disconnect the lines running to it? Or should I just remove the bracket and pull it out of the way? Thanks. |

remove it out of the way....Do not disconect it
I just did this: unbolt it from its bracket, then wrap a towel around it and tape it up so the towel doesn't fall off, then put some sort of a pad or blanket onto your passenger side fender, and then just flip the compressor over to the pad you just set down ( this keeps the compressor from damaging your fender and paint) and your done....Doing this keeps you from having to pull a vacuum and having to recharge your A/C system
