Help need answer to a rear-end question ?


I bought a 87 notch and it has disc brakes n the back so did they change the whole rear end or just the axles and brakes. Need opinions

most likely its the original 8.8 and just changed the axles and brakes.. Why does it matter?

Cause I'm about to do my rear end and axles so when I go by axles do I say 93 cobra or 87 gt lx or are they the same as far as aftermarket kind.

It's probably a Turbo Coupe rear. The axles are 3/4" longer and came with rear discs.

Ok so when I'm ordering some axles I just get axles for turbo coupe/93 cobra

lol, forgot how popular the turbo coupe swaps were.. but the only way to know for sure is to take the axle out and measure it, fox length axles are 29 5/32" long. If its longer than its turbocoupe/sn95 length

no it sits in perfect sois it possible that he just keep the 87 lx reart end and just changed the axle and disc brakes
