i need transmission help!!


alright so i dont know whats going on with my car its completely stock and all of a sudden one day i start my car and it wont shift out of 1st for a while the a real hard jerk then again from 2-3 but once it warms up it runs great it is an auto just in case you didnt know. i would really appreciate any help. again its a completely stock 5.0.. it is my only way to get around so please help

Get your TV cable adjusted first.Then go from there.

If tv cable adjust dont do it, change fluid and filter. When you drain old fluid check for any shavings stuck to the magnet in the pan, and also the color of the fluid. If the fluid is blackish red, your clutches are toast. if fluid is red and nothing on magnet, it could be a worn pressure valve sleeve. They are a known weak point in the AOD trans and they stick when cold when they are worn.
