They will work. The only difference between a roller 5.0 and a 351 is the flywheel is a different weight balance.

Thanks for the insight I called summit tech and questioned the crap out that guy so I cut my losses and bought the 28oz billet flywheel from ford racing it specialy made for a 302 clutch on a 351w block.

There's really no such thing as a specialty flywheel for this application. Just different balance ones. The bolt pattern for the flywheel bolts are the same and the size and amount of teeth on the flywheel dictate what bellhousing it will fit in. A 28oz 157 tooth flywheel should be the same for a 351 or a 302 provided the 302 had a 28oz crank. Those guys at the summit techline know how to bullshit so hopefully you didn't buy a billet flywheel just because the guy told you that is the only one that will work.

Actually there are at least two different bolt patterns for the pressure plate on a 164 tooth (and supposedly 157 tooth although I can't verify that from experience) 28oz flywheel. I know this because I ordered the wrong one and it wouldn't bolt up. Called the guys at ZOOM and they hooked me up with the right part number. I wish I knew which applications were different so that in the future I could help other people avoid the same mistake, but I can't find anyone to tell me. Perhaps another member here could shed some light.
