No one doubts that... moving along. O.p. you car will run a 12 with slicks and some control arms. Mph will prob bump up to 105 or so if you launch high enough. Car has plenty potential.

yeah i really do need to stop in there and talk to him. i will once i have some money to spend. i dont like stoping in places asking questions without being ready to spend some money. at the minimum id like to run c clip eliminators just to be safe. dont really like the idea of the car dragging and an axle going down the side of the car.

another question is do c clip eliminators have to be pressed on the axle?

Im sure Mike would be fine with you just stopping in and talkin to him without cash in hand. He is a real good guy to deal with. Ive been in there just to bullshit before and he has had some real good get togethers there where we all just sit and talk Mustangs. The C clip eliminators will have to be pressed on. You can put them on stock axles as well. I just sold a set of stock length 33 spline Moser axles with the elimintors installed for 250. That would 've been a good start! He is building my 8.8 now and should be done this weekend for me to pick up.

presses on the axle and bolts to the rear end

Nope he still had the 4 lug. Im not sure what really happened but it sheared them straight off. It looked to have a wobble to it as he was rolling up in the beams. As soon as he started to roll into it the wheel decided it wanted to stay there!

Sounds a bit like the lug nuts weren't torqued down.
