Help with 60 ft time

ive heard that for every tenth off 60ft time = 2 tenths off total et. anybody have any experience with this? i made a few passes a couple weeks ago and ran a 13.8@102 with a 2.2 60ft which was kind of dissapointing. ive got 3.55's and crappy street tires. im considering getting 31 spline axles, full spool, slicks and 3.73's. is the gear worth swapping?

were you having traction issues? if so then swapping to a steeper gear will hurt without tires...

I would honestly suggest you look into some of control arms for the rear. Adjustable is the way to go, but alot of people don't know how to set them up. Baseline Suspension has a very good explanation.

But on average .1 in the 60 foot, does drop nearly 2 tenths in the top end, but it can change.

me enither.... sllicks are easier on axles though, because they give some rather than drag radials.

drag radials dont flex=shock
slicks flex=absorbs the shock

Hey stop down at Mike's shop and he can talk you in the right direction. Dayton Performance. Super guy to deal with and he wont feed you a line of shit! Ive been 10.90s on stock axles and twisted a few off on slicks. Not a real good idea to trash a car for a $300 set of good axles and some c clip eliminators.

None adjustable suspension is pointless. Atleast if the track is shit you can work with it. Not with non adjustable.

I agree. C-clip axles and slicks are a problem waiting to happen.

Cool

You definitely need to work on your traction because I was pulling off a 2.1 60ft in my mostly stock 94 and I have the slips to prove it.
